The Avaloq group, an international fintech company and leader in integrated and comprehensive banking solutions, announces the expansion of its subsidiaries in Zurich and Bioggio, introducing a state of the art World of Work. The Avaloq Campus will be created in Zurich.
The year 2017 will mark the beginning of a significant expansion and modernisation of Avaloq’s facilities in Zurich and Bioggio near Lugano. The construction works will start during the first half of 2017, with the investments for office layout starting in 2018.
The project in Zurich will include a major modernisation of Avaloq’s existing facility where an Innovation Centre as well as central functions are based, and will prepare this facility for further growth. Once completed in 2019, the new Avaloq Campus will provide 1’100 work places, compared to 700 today. The Avaloq Campus will also include a day-care centre for children and a modern restaurant. On the Campus and in its neighbourhood, attractive apartments will be available.
In Bioggio, Avaloq will expand the current facilities of its Swiss Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) centre, Avaloq Sourcing (Switzerland & Liechtenstein). The expansion will result in more than 300 additional workplaces from 2018 on.
“With the modernisation and expansion of our two largest offices in Switzerland, we provide the basis we need for future staff growth and even more efficient collaboration. At the same time we introduce a state of the art World of Work, reflecting our company value ‘Nexus’. We create a space for interaction both inside the company and with our partners. This follows our approach of creating an innovation ecosystem”, says Pascal Foehn, Avaloq’s Group Chief Operations Officer (COO). “We are strongly committed to our locations in Switzerland, and will also continue our growth story there. Now we transmit our innovation culture into our work environment.”
Christina Huebschen, Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), adds: “Our people are our biggest asset. To meet future requirements we have been heavily focusing on people programmes over the last year. This will now start to materialise in the physical workplace.”
The Avaloq group employs almost 2’500 people in its branches in Switzerland, as well as in Berlin, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Leipzig, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Manila, Paris, Singapore and Sydney.
